![]() As Oregon begins to open up, and restrictions are lifted in most places, please keep in mind that as a healthcare facility, we continue to operate just as we were. Masks will still be required in our office regardless of vaccine status. We appreciate your support as we remain compliant with OSHA , CDC and federal guidelines. Please check out our Office News page to stay current on all the latest news from the office. |
Office News![]() 03/07/2023 ![]() Miriam is our Hygiene Coordinator and usually the first voice you hear on the phone. She was chosen by her peers because she always goes above and beyond to help our patients and team members. She is a perfectionist and always striving to make our office more efficient. She is also our resident horticulturist and takes care of our office’s many plants. Nic is one our Dental Assistants and has a powerhouse personality that sets her apart. Our patients love her ability to strike up a fun conversation and help them feel at ease. Her bubbly, outgoing humor and her can do attitude are why her peers voted for her. She is always jumping in to help, often before anyone even asks. 03/31/2022 ![]() Our beloved hygienist Mandy is having her first baby girl, due in April. As many of you know, Mandy has been waiting for this sweet girl for many years so we couldn't be more excited for her. While Mandy is on a well-deserved maternity leave, Laci will be caring for her patients on Mondays and Tuesdays. We know you'll find Laci to be an exceptional hygienist, who is gentle, knowledgeable and dedicated to her patients. Cindi will be seeing Mandy's patients on Wednesdays! Yes, the very same Cindi who was with our practice since 2011, so many of you already know her and love her. Dr. Hudson was just informed that she was voted as one of Eugene's Top Dentists by Eugene Magazine's readership. Look for her profile in the Top Docs issue! With Omicron retreating and mask mandates lifting, we wanted to share our updated COVID-19 protocols with you... Masks are still required in healthcare settings so please be sure to wear your mask when you come see us. We will always have our hospital-grade HEPA filters running and our clinical team will be still wearing N95s. However, we are no longer requiring covid tests prior to procedures. Please let our office know if you feel unwell, or if you've been exposed to COVID-19 and we'll help you get a test and/or re-schedule you. If you are immunocompromised, elderly or live with someone who is high risk, please ask to be scheduled first thing in the morning to minimize the possibility of transmission of any communicable illness. In other news, we're striving to cut back on energy use, plastics and waste. We see that the only way forward is to live more sustainably: We've stopped buying plastic toothbrushes and now have superior bamboo brushes with soft bristles. We now have Dr. Tung's floss refills to put into your existing plastic containers. We've switched from plastic pod laundry detergent to EarthBreeze detergent sheets. And we've recently stopped using paper towels in our staff lounge and bathroom and switched to washable cloth towels from Marly's Monsters. Dr. Vivona is currently sampling toothpaste tablets. We'll let you know as soon as we find the perfect one so we can all ditch the plastic toothpaste tubes! And lastly, Otis, our emotional support dog, just turned 2 in January. He wants everyone to know that he promises not to go through the “terrible twos” and really just wants to sit by your side and get his neck scratched. We wish you and yours a healthful spring! We look forward to seeing you at your next appointment. The Team at Eugene Dental Group 05/06/2021 ![]() We have found an incredible dentist to cover her leave: Harmeet Kaur, DDS. Dr. Kaur is very excited to be a part of our amazing team. She originally graduated from dental school in 2008 in India, where she practiced for years. She then moved to the U.S. and graduated from the University of Michigan International Dentist Program in 2018 and has called Eugene her home since then. She says, "of all the things I love, dentistry comes first". She finds that dentistry is never monotonous and she enjoys meeting new people, getting to know them and helping them achieve optimal oral health care. We are so excited about Dr. Kaur because she holds the same preventative values that Dr. Hudson and Dr. Vivona share. Furthermore, she is incredibly gentle and carefully explains procedures and advice to patients. Dr. Kaur and her husband are also enjoying being parents for the first time. They welcomed a precious baby girl in 2020 and so it is fitting that as Dr. Hudson begins her maternity leave, Dr. Kaur is jumping back in! We know you'll love Dr. Kaur as much as we do - please help us welcome her for the next few months as Dr. Hudson takes much deserved time to care for her new daughter. As Dr. Hudson nears her due date, please be aware that if baby Hudson decides to come a little early, you may see Dr. Kaur or Dr. Vivona, even if you were scheduled with Dr. Hudson! We hope this newsletter finds you healthy and happy after this incredibly difficult year.
